I had to merge 3 photos to get the right and left handside in together. I also had to do some heavy recovery on the sky as it was covered in dust spots.

NM - indeedie and I intend to pimp your ideas once I get my confidence with using the camera in London!

In honour of Nightmare's inspirational APAD - the first time I took my tripod out in London city and the first time I knew how to use lens flare creatively ...

did you climb the cliffs nearby, there are very nice grand views of the lighthouse from there.

i see you met the charlie chaplin mime guy.. :) he's really cool.

Thanks for ur comments guys.

I'm on a year long photography course now and the film aspect is driving me bonkers, so I made this to complement my other exposure chart!

Free to download both on my flickr site:

its been awhile since i last heard the sunny16 rule.

nice chart.

My friend asked me to take a photo for her 40th party, put me in a complete panic as I don't have a proper flash or knowledge.

My settings were iso3200, 1/60 f2.5 which seem ridiculous on my prime 50m f1.4 lens & d300, but it meant I was getting the right exposure handheld (at the cost of high grain). If any one could suggest a better approach, I would be grateful!

Here is my favourite and a good indication of what a true London East Ender looks like - a big softie!
