btw, oeyvind. u know some things abt the mamiya 7II rangefinder-type MF cams? saw 2 sets at TCW last nite. was thinking abt these or the kiev 60 for the future. is the 7II any good? 7II, 2nd-hand, is pricey sia... TCW selling for $1200+....

and improve on their auto focus maybe put in focus tracking like on the Cannon 1s

I am still struggling with my 500 5.6 trying to do MF nature, its harder than it sounds.

600mm 2.8???? You will need a 220mm filter ...... Wah !!!!!!!! Even a 500mm 2.8 you will be expecting at minimum 180mm filter ......

Not to mention it will be difficult to make it on Medium Format, it is also not even seen in 35mm (the largest aperture I had seen for 500mm and 600mm in 35mm is f/4).....

well my 500mm 5.6 for MF already has a filtter size of 110mm
so i am not suprised if its any larger. It should be otherwise it would be strange!

if anything a 600mm f 2.8 would end up to be a 400mm 2.8 in 35mm terms, due to the negetive crop factor, so in that sense its not very unrealistic.

but it would be insane for the photographer to lung around a monster like that. However if the price is right, i would be more than willing to do so!
