Maha vs RipVan AA/AAA battery chargers

hi all
i just bought a canon a70..
yeah! can finally start shooting but eh...
i now looking for rechargeable batt and chargers..

being observing this 2 chargers
the Maha 100 Minute Cool Charger MH-C401FS and the RipVan100 Lightning Pack 4000N OEM Charger

i know the steves-digicam and imaging-resource websites say Maha is the best charger
but i read the MO thread started by eastgear
seems like all the people are going for the RipVan one...
is it cuz it more worth it due to its cheaper price??
or the maha not worth its price?
i read from w3cube dat maha chargers yet to get safety mark?
so is this true?

cuz now i am freaking confused.....

Spend on what you can afford. If you don't think the Maha is worth the money, then go for RipVan. I have a Maha and it has been working great and without a hitch for the past 2 years.

RipVan is good for those who want something small and portable, unlike the Maha C401FS that requires a 240V seperate adaptor, but as for me, size isn't a problem, and Maha has proven itself, I'll stick to Maha.

I like the Maha charger becos it has 4 individual charging channel, this means you can charge 1 to 4 batteries at any one time and each individual batteries is optimally charged, whereas the RipVan only has 2 charging channel, thus 2 batteries at one time. Its purely personal preference as to size as the Maha is really small and the adaptor is veri light If you can afford, go for the Maha.
