For Pic#3, yes, just the 28-135. The most I add is the UniPlus 25mm extension tube, which cost $90 from Konota. Actually, this gun is quite good when it comes to macro, just that the magnificaiton is not so good. Take a look at www.dpreview.com and search for '28-135 with kenko extension tube'. There are a lot of postings regarding this. Some can even achieve 1:1 magnification with this combination!

Wanted to get the Canon 100mm macro, but no $$$. :( So can only go for workarounds.

How will you rate this extension tube? Is it comparable to the canon's own extension tube?

BY the way, I saw in the site that there is another set named the auto extension tube set and yours is under the uniplus tube. Is there any difference in both set?

I'm not sure. Wanted to get the Canon extension tube, which is much more expensive, but no stock. Heard Canon is stopping the production of the first make of their 25mm extension tube and coming out with the MK II, and that explains the out of stock.

Ultimately, I'll get the Canon one, since I'm a true Canon user! :D

What do you mean by auto extension tube? Never heard of it. Can you explain more?

Nice shots! Love pics #1 & 3 especially.

I too am using the Canon 75-300 USM (IS version) with Uniplus 25 tube. Did you have any problems auto-focusing on this lens? Eg. the dragonfly in pic #2?

Oftentimes, I find that the lens is very s-l-o-w to focus and had to resort to using manual most of the time.

Thanx. Glad you love the pics. Same feeling here kennick. The 75-300 USM is way too slow in focusing even without extension tube. For macro photography, I ALWAYS use manual focusing, unless the subject is in motion. Yet again, when it's in motion, I wouldn't consider this lens. Normally will use my 28-135. Much faster! :)
