Macro filter for M lens

Hi All,

Knowing that an RF can't do much macro work, I would like to ask if any of you 'lao jiaos' out there have tried marco filters for a 50mm lens on an M?

I am heading to Japan and would dread the idea of not being able to take close ups of the cuisine there with my M.

Thanks. :)

you will not be able to focus properly on the m-bodies with the close up filters on.

suggest you either use the 90 elmarit with macro adaptor or the macro filters on your 50 mounted on a m43 body. the oly bodies provide a good advantage with in-body image stabilizer.

Bring a D-Lux4 or the X1 .. I think it will serve you better .. ;)

Enjoy your trip

Or use a LTM 50mm that can focus closer up to 1.5feet with M8 or M9 & guesstimate. Preview & try again. Eg nikkor50mmf1.4, f2 or Tanar50mmf2, f1.8, f1.9, f1.5
