M9 and lens with uv/ir filter from m8

Hi..wonder if anyone can advise...was passed a m8.2 to play with a yr+ ago and 3 lens with leica uv/IR filter.. i was recently passed the m9.. wonder if the uv/IR filter stays or should be replaced? haven't seen any noticeable ill effects on images on the M9 yet..any advice from those who switch m8 to m9? thanks!

UV/IR not necessary but then again no harm

UV/iR filter no problem on M9 or M240.

I tried with the uv ir filter on the m9 and took a night shot.... Terribly blur with the filter on.... Makes a huge difference....I took it off immediately!
