Should be fine ... I've tried most Leica Ms and they all just really differ in build, features, and collectibility. M4-P is not highly sought after, but still good. I had it for about 2 weeks or so (but with lots of pics), it's just like an M4 without the timer and less build if I remember. The M4, BTW, is arguably the best built M.
I don't think you'll go wrong with any of the Leica Ms ... the weakest one for me is the M8, still obviously smooth digital look, especially in B&W, not for those who prefer the film look. YMMV.
They may have been the whisper-quiet kings in their day, but some of today's dslr and compacts are really quiet ...
Never tried Voigtlanders, but judging from the internet pictures from them (although scans are significantly inferior compared to a traditional print properly done), looks good too.

On a side note, I was speaking to a Leica dealer where I was admiring the B&W prints on his wall. I asked some advice from him regarding exposure he used, and he said many of his Leica M film camera customers complain to him of blown highlights/backlights with Leica. He said that "Leica lenses are different, scared of the light, loves the dark, shadows". He advised exposing/averaging more on the highlights/backlights, and not the usual "expose on the shadows, develop for the highlights". Well, I've tried it and it works great, especially when printed traditionally. No success with other non-Leica lenses, though, still find it best to expose on the shadows. Again, YMMV, these are heretical thoughts
