What developer did you use to process? Also what temperature and the interval of agitation did you use for the film?

The grains seem quite interesting... wonder if LUCKY make any sheet film or not...

Interesting film ! It is extremely difficult to get grain on medium format film, at least for me, unless I use the Ilford Delta 3200.

Not really that difficult lah. I usually agitate a lot on HP5+, on mixture of full-strength and diluted developer (Agfa Rodinal) in order to get the grains lor. It's increasing hard to get Rodinal these days though... so if this film is innately that grainy, then it's worth to try.

Well, I found some on eBay (my favorite shopping site) - Lucky on eBay ....

It says Lucky is partner of Kodak in China, and has some notes and sample photos, but I can't read Chinese. The samples look good, though, but little grain. Interesting, must try

They also have Shanghai and ERA brand ... whatever those are ...

Thanks for the Perly company hint. Not a real shop but doesnt matter in that case.
3$ vs Kodak TMax for 4$.
Will get some from a friend in Shenkou, lets see the price there.
cheers

The Lucky films do not have an anti-halation layer. There will be obvious flaring if there is a light source in frame.

Hey all,

Seem like some of us really like lucky film, and i will be heading to GZ soon. And there is alot there. And i have bought some back.

If u guys want, i dont mind help you to ship it back to you. Interested party can PMed me.

The price i paid is abt 1.5 each per roll. Depend on exchange rates too.

Interesting for vintage look. Very sensitive coating (is there any?) ! get easily scratched !
But its different. Bought one box yesterday in Shanghai in Xing Guang Center (1,40 SGD each).

Hi all,

I have recieved numbers of PMed regarding to get the Lucky film.

Shall we meet up and confirm who is getting it? So then i know how many should i ship back? Btw, will it be tax if i send back to you guy?

Anyone start rolling to date to meet up? I am heading back on the 27th Feb.

Btw, i am just offering help as i am happy to see so many ppl interested with films as it "hard" to come by these days. AND I AM NOT TRYING TO EARN A CUT OR WHAT.

These are the prices i got last time, hope can get cheaper if get more. As shipping you guy will have to share among yourself.

120 Lucky ISO 100 is 8RMB = about SGD1.5 or SGD1.6
135 Lucky ISO 100 is 7RMB = about SGD1.4 or SGD1.5

Cos there are a few stores selling and some increased the price due to low demand in the market, and rumours said that they might stop producing, that what my china friend told me. And of cos i will get the best price of all.

Hi !
you can consider get the stuff shipped here. I talked to LUCKY and they say they would ship for a min order of 2000 SGD (if I can remember right, its a while ago) to Singapore.
I dont know how much you can handcarry, and checkin is NOT an option.
cheers
Sven
