Hi guys,

I'm looking for either a Yashica Minister III or a Yashica Minister D. I've been around a few places in Singapore but I can't seem to find these models. I've searched the cash convertors at Tampines and Jurong East. No luck although I did saw the Yashica GTN and MG-1 both in bad condition.

Any lubangs or if you've any of these to sell are definitely welcome - within reasonable price of course.
:)

If you buy the Yashica with a view of using it, why don't you try getting a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s or any of the Canon QL series rangefinders, they are pretty good too. I really like the bokeh of the Rokkor 40mm f1.7 lens of the Minolta. I think the Canon is not far behind. I have a few of these! I also think that the economical tiny Minolta AL-F with Rokkor 38mm f2.7 lens a good value too! :) :) :)

If you really want it, try ebay? I've got most of my classic RF's off ebay. Just get prepared to get "ketok" for the shipping. Or you may wish to ask @ rangefinderforum.com if any of the members letting go this camera.

I agreed with limhea; 7S - the lens is superb, and I like the flare in my sample. QL17 needs to stop down two stops to get it really sharp, else use it wide open for portraiture.

 Old thread la bradders...... I've gotten one and given it away already. But thanks for the heads up. Next time round when I get an itch to play with rangefinders again, I'll try out your suggestions.

In that case, I think Russian LTM rangefinders can be interesting. They are cheap and the lenses are satisfactory. Zorki, Mir, FED etc, etc.

I'm thinking more in the line of those itsy-bitsy cute-cute looking rollei 35s.
looks kinda handy and easy to hide, ya?
