Looking for Volunteers..

Hey Guys,

Doing this on behalf of a friend trying to get volunteer photographers for this event. Just a small excerpt of what this event is about.

“Accendo ‘10”, is Greek for “illuminate” or “shine”. As such, we aim to let the youth shine in their life, regardless of their disadvantages. Aware that the SAC supports a Lunch Box Fund for students from financially disadvantaged families, and inspired by the fact that most of these poor schoolchildren regularly skip lunches to save up, another core theme central to our project will be that of hunger. We aim to spread the message of the plight that these children put themselves through, thus garnering long-term support for them, and hence alleviating their predicament."

What do you the Volunteer to do what?

Basically take photos of the event, i.e. portraits, action shots, wide angles whatever you want to.

Please name the organization involved and/or scheme name ....... all the sympathetic words aside, there is little info available on which organization the volunteer photogs are shooting for

How will the images be used and will the photog be credited and keep rights to the images?

You're walking on thin ice here as requests for free photographer services are frowned upon unless the cause is worthy and NOBODY involved in organizing is benefiting from a profiit or 'personal glory' perspective.

Sorry I hope you understand..... we've had many cases in the past where clowns and jack-asses come in here looking to pay photogs with food and drinks and empty promises etc etc when they reap benefits.

TS, if you are sincere about looking for pple in the photography community to help, at least put in the minimal effort to furnish all the relevant information here and be transparent, so that others can make an informed decision.

Okay guys, my bad for not responding that quick. I'm not on this forum 24/7.
Okay, basically, the time is from 3pm-10pm on 12/6/2010..

There is a flea market from 3pm-7pm,
and sky lanterns from 7pm-10pm.

The venue should be at Hwa Chong Institution (will confirm.)

Basically, all the photographers need to do would be taking candid shots of the event, and will consolidate all the photos for them. Everyone who took photos on the day stated above will be credited. Photos will not be reproduced without your prior permission.
