Beyond Awareness
Overview
Through its years of involvement in youth environmental activism, ECO-Singapore has realized the immense potential that the youth of today have in shaping the future of the environment in Singapore. However, this potential needs to be nurtured. The youth need a platform where they can share their concerns about the environment as well as explore options to solve them by engaging in discussions with experts, activists and NGOs. The National Youth Environment Forum 2008 aims to provide such a platform for the youth.

Objectives
1. Provide a platform for interactive discussions between the youth, experts, activists and NGOs on topics that have been identified by the youth themselves as being critical to the environment.
2. Facilitate participants to deliver an action/development plan to tackle issues with relevant NGOs/Special interest groups.
3. To promote environmental issues from a holistic perspective
Audience
Approximately 250 participants are expected to attend the Forum. Participants will comprise youths from post-secondary educational institutes, special interest eco-groups and the public.
Partners
ECO Singapore will be engaging NGOs, relevant Governmental bodies/agencies and Corporations as Forum Partners. A tri-partisan approach to provide a holistic view on the issues raised.
