My boss is considering hiring a photographer on a project basis to replace ugly photos in our catalogues. I'm gathering the quotes to do the proposal. TBH, the alternative is me taking the photographs. I'm amateur to semi-pro standard. So looking for real pros.
The Job
1) Studio shoots of products like tables, chairs, trolleys, skirtings and other hospitality furnishings.
2) On-location shoots will likely be required as well at hotels and restaurants etc.
Photos will be used in catalogues / website etc. To clear any doubts, copyright will belong to the company. Only digital photos will be required, suitable for printing up to A3 size, but A4 will do in a pinch. No actual prints or photoshopping needed.
Requirements
Please prepare a quotation and sample photos if you are interested, and PM me for contact details.
Quotation should include info on:
1) How much do you charge? Per hour or per photo etc, plus any miscellaneous fees.
2) How much time do you need after the shoot to process and deliver the photos?
3) Do you have your own studio and lights, or do you need us to rent them?
4) Payment terms (Upfront / C.O.D. / 30 days credit etc)
If you need us to provide any equipment and props, please indicate in the quote as well. Otherwise it is assumed that you will provide all of it. We will take care of the transportation of products to and from the studio.
Sample photos should include:
1) 2 product-only photo of each of the following from different perspectives
a) any chair
b) any table (glass-top preferred)
2) 1 photo of any chair(s) and/or table(s) with props
No bigger than 200kb per photo please. Around 500 x 333 px to 800 x 600 px will be good. Original photos with no editing except for resizing and sharpening please. Feel free to watermark if you feel the need, but not a huge one across the entire pic so we can't see anything please.
Larger and/or printed samples not needed unless you are shortlisted.
