Hi,

I'm Mandy from Student Advisory Center.

I'm organising a Charity Swim event and is looking for two photographers to cover this event. Details as follow:

15 swimmers will be swimming 20km from Batam to Singapore.

The photographers covering the event will have their expenses paid for during the event. The photographers will enjoy a one night stay at Batam Nongsa Resort on the night of 10 November. There will be return transport from Batam to Singapore on 11 November 07.

If you are interested, please contact me at mandy@studentadvisory.org.sg or just call me at 9787 9602 for full details.

Hi Mandy,
You mention that this is a Charity Swim Event, may I enquire, this is for which charity?

You may also want to provide some details which, off hand, one of them may be the need for the photographer to withstand sea sickness as, I assume, the photographer will be in a small boat trailing along with the swimmers? Being in a bigger boat will be more stable thus less likely to have seasick but may also not be the most ideal vessel for this kind of photography work. As such, being in a smaller boat ie: the safety boat will be better but due to the slow speed and sea condition, sea sickness may be a factor.

Just my 2 cts ( base on experience ) which I hope will be of help to you.

Cheers.

hi yqt
TS already stated which charity. www.studentadvisory.org.sg
check out the website.

to the photographer involves: give it a try if you're free after all it's for charity. nevertheless i'd caution any charitable photographer to make sure that the photos is only for the charity organisation use only.

to share, i've come across that the event organizer engaged(paid) by the charity organisation uses pictures for their own purpose. thus infringe your copyright which you thought is for the charity organisation. why can't the engaged organizer paid their own photographer? be warn that this has been happening around charitable events.

last but not least whoever got engage pls do get yourself and your gears some insurance cause anything can happen even you've been cautious.

ouch! touch wood.......:bsmilie::bsmilie:
