hi i looking for some part time photographer job. Reason being in order to learn more about event photography and drive my passion toward photography.

i have been learning photography for 6mth and i feel have a strong interest on it and hope to have more venue to learn
1 thing that i dont have experience is to take events photography.

is there anywhere that recruit ppl for that like assignment based ?

it can't be that you picked up photography just to earn money from it? Anyway, your motivation is your own business, I won't go into that.

You can check out Services Wanted, sometimes there's enquiries for birthday parties, 1 mth old celebrations etc etc.

who want to hire someone without any experience to pass them an assignment, who suppose to be responsible if ones fail to deliver?

to start with, you need build a solid foundation on your basic photography, show your works to people what you capable of, people will give you some opportunities to begin with.

Why don't you go to the events and practice practice practice first? I certainly would NEVER hire you for event coverage if you had zero experience. NO COMPANY would hire someone with ZERO skill/experience for a job.

What genre of photography would you like to go into?

Take up personal projects, test shoots, do as much as possible, practice, build up portfolio

Try volunteering yourself, sometimes events at grassroots and PA needs volunteers to take photos at their events if not other charity organizations also... When they have events.

another tip is for you to approach charity organisations or NGOs, special schools for blind, autistic, old folks homes, children's homes etc. they hold alot of events, charity drives, roadshows, whatever.... they are always on shoestring budget on operations. so u can approach them, charge a very low nominal fee or do it FOC.

yes, that will be good for anyone keen to volunteer, but they don't have so many events, ones may need to approach many organizations.

another idea is ones can approach your RC or nearby RC, don't have to go so far away, they have many small scale events available for your neighborhood.

yeah, there are actually quite alot of opportunities to start PT photography. Just go out and look around you. Talk to as many ppl as you can. Go knock on doors.

But of coz, u dont get to earn lots of $$...... its a trade off
