Set up in 2011, Ashley Low (female photographer) started off with providing outdoor family photoshoot services and since then ALP has been expanded to providing studio services for Maternity, Newborn, Kids and Families photoshoot. STUDIO & PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSISTANT (FLEXIBLE WORK DAYS/HOURS)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Studio Assistant will take on an important Sales role for the following:
- To correspond with all customers sales enquiries via email (mainly), phones, to issue invoices and information to customers about photoshoots
- To help schedule in appointments for customers for their shoots
- To commit to assist in setting up & sales during Baby Expo Fairs (3-4 times a year, each time about 3-4 full days) (There will be extra pay for this)
- To help market any sales activities online.
This person will also basically take care of what the Studio needs and this includes (list is non-exhuastive):
- Welcoming customers to studio
- Upkeeping & maintaining cleaniness of studio
- Assist to set up for photoshoots, and tidy up after photoshoots
- Maintain pantry supplies and stationery required for studio
- To help make & source any purchases if required.
Other roles include:
- Administration of expenses/invoices, simply help to input records to system
As a Photographers assistant,
this person will also help Photographer in between photoshoots to change backdrops, setups and sometimes help to get kids attention during photoshoots. These sessions will mainly be for Newborn (home & studio), Family (outdoor & studio) and babies/kids portraits (studio only)
JOB DETAILS:
- To work at least 30 hours for 5 days in a week in studio (unless required for home or outdoor shoot).
- Hours are flexible but has to try to adhere to Photographers appointments, on average 6 hours a day.
- Days are flexible but has to cover at least 1 weekend day 2-3 times a month. The days have to as much as possible adhere to Photographers appointments but are negotiable.
- More flexibility can be negotiated, for example some days can work longer hours and some days shorter.
(As part of the role is to assist Photographer in the shoots, will need the person to come in especially at the time/day where there are shoots that require more help, i.e. Newborn shoots)
- On days whereby there are no shoots (usually about 1 day a week only) and provided it is not required to work long hours, person can work from home for emails, provided that emails are promptly replied.
- Must commit to attend all Baby Fairs for sales role.
- Pay will be as follows:
- SGD$1000 to include CPF contributions.
- For busy weeks and if person has to work longer, there will be a cap of 40hours/week. Each additional hours pay is $8/hr
- For Expo fairs, there will be additional pay of $200 for the 3-day weekend or $250 for 4-day weekend.
Due to the huge flexible nature of work hours/timing, we are not able to pay as much as we could. However the pay will be adjusted after 3 months upon confirmation.
REQUIREMENTS:We are looking for someone who:
- Likes the flexibility work hours /days in this job
- Does not mind growing with a small company/studio
- Likes working around kids / babies
- Has interest in Photography
- Has a pleasant personality and great working and learning attitude
This person must also be able to commit at least a year, basically permanently for this job.
