Looking for a second body for landscapes...

Hi there,

I'm looking for a second body to shoot landscapes for an upcoming trip. Am looking for maybe a used M6 as I need the metering.

Any advise on where I can go find a place which has a reasonable selection of used leica bodies? Just need one which functions normally at reasonable price.

Thanks in advance.

seems there are several M6 in Classified now. For landscapes, you may also consider a MD(a). U don't really need a RF qand meter for landscapes that much.

actually for landscapes, I think bessa T or L would be good for you.

or zeiss SW

Zeiss got exposure compensation. Helps for landscape with alot of light. No need ND filter

Honestly, I think an slr is better suited for landscape photography, since you can use filters etc. You can get an Olympus OM camera and Zuiko lenses for less than an M6. Sacrilege on a rangefinder forum, I know!

Bessa 4 or Zeiss SW

Thanks for the recommendations. I should mention that I'm planning to shoot with a 21mm lens on the 2nd body.

My primary camera is a film Leica, so now I'm tossing about whether to get another M with VF or a bessa R4M...

Would appreciate some more advice. Thanks!

I'm confused. You do already have an M6, but would like another body to use your 21mm for landscapes? Is this right?
Why not just buy a 21mm viewfinder, and you are all set to go?

Simple lah, he want to telling us he rich mah. Got a lot of money to buy many Leica.

Bessa R4 (M/A) is x0.52 with built in 21/25 framelines which is a good option... like Benji mentioned, shooting landscape, i'm thinking hyperfocal for extended dof, a 21mm viewfinder should be sufficient...

Xpan?
