Hi, any one can help ?
Been L&T a 45 min avchd footage but it take more than a day!
video setting in : Apple ProRes (LT) 422 1920x1080 50i 48 KHz ( Shooting in Ph 1920x1080 50i)
Thank you.

First, your system specifications plays a large part in the speed of transcoding AVCHD to Apple ProRES.
Secondly, the speed of your USB card reader plays an even more important role. Get a fast card reader.

Hi,Thank you very much for your help! Updated to fcp 7.0.3
Seen help abit.. but now problem come... L&T half way unexpected quit when come to a 2hr footage!

break the ingest into smaller chunks by marking in & out points for your logging. say maybe 4x 30mins clips instead of a 2hr chunk.
Usually this happens when there's a card problem which caused drop frames or corrupted frames in your recording.
Lemme guess, you're using transcend memory cards?

Hi, Thank you for your reply.
I transfered the footage on the desktop folder.
But it seen L&T like real time...is that setting problem?
Many thanks for your help.

From my limited post production knowledge, the problem lies between avchd and prores themselves, an issue which fcp recognizes too. I understand that they have come out with a fcp7 fix/upgrade that allows direct editing on avchd instead of prores.

The suggestions by Dixon are also truly valid.

The next time you have long recording, I hear that by NOT choosing LPCM for audio (that is if you are using Panasonic AF102, I don't know about other cameras), log and transfer can be really fast... though I have not personally tried it.
