Huh?! You said you can live without liveview, then isn't the viewfinder your next best choice? In the case of d40, it's the only choice? You expecting (or dreaming) to link some portable lcd screen on to your d40 is it?
exactly. and ultimately, entrophy_h is giving a fact feedback, not an unconstructive one. if you really wanted LV so much, maybe you should have done some research before the purchase.
we're just advising you on the various routes you can go... no need to criticise at other members for their ideas that may seem lame.
and yes, even LV owners don't use the LV. i don't use it... and most would feel that the LV on a DSLR dosen't make much sense. jst don't look right using LV on a dslr unless u are taking from high above ur head (in such situations).
