Lenspen for cleaning

Hi all,

I strongly encourage all digi user to try the lenspen cleaning tool for their lens.

I have brought 2 lenspens and found it to be good. Very safe for lens. Aplace to buy would be Ruby photo opposite the penisular plaza between funan center. It is at ground floor. Very prominent. The old uncle there is very honest with his prices. He would always give his lowest price even when a stranger comes to ask. However, it is sad that he is not into digi camera accessories.

I'm using this for my lens cleaning too. Found it very useful and portable, especially when I'm without the blower (the brush is very soft).

Also bought 1 as a gift for my friend too.

unless no choice, the expert shop owner mentioned that it is better to do a blower then a brush before using the lenspen. Becos it is a dry cleaning kit, u would not want sand to be on your lens during cleaning.

In addition, try the blow a mist on the lens then quickly use the lenspen to remove sturborn spot. Very good mehtod.

No doubt a lenspen works wonders in cleaning stubborn stains, however, it did not last long for my case. The cleaning part will dry up quickly, though I place the cap on when the pen is not in use. Maybe I do not know the right way of using the lenspen. :dunno:

Sort of had a similar experience. Bought a lenspen a week b4 my australia trip. Used it probably once a day on the average to clean off dust and dirt and any sea spray off my lens and filters.

At the end of the 2 week trip, i noticed that the effectiveness of the lenspen was not as good as before. Been on lens tissue since. Maybe it's just me and the way i used it.
