Slider shots are meaningless without parallax effect. For short sliders or boring backgrounds, an out-of-focus foreground object can create a more pronounced parrallax effect.
Mounting a series of crystalline /defractive objects a few millimeters in front of the slider can give produce interesting flares and defraction.
