The 50mm is called a "normal" lens in a full frame, because it is very close to what you see with your eye. If you have a full frame camera, mount on a 50mm lens, and look through the viewfinder, what you see with the eye looking through the viewfinder is very close to what the other eye (not looking through viewfinder) sees.

From what I have read, 50mm lens give angle of view about 45' on FF and 32' on APS-C. I thought human eye is wider than 45'.

You are talking about 1-eye view or 2-eye view?

No, it's called 135 film (without the "mm") :) Unfortunately I go back that far too, though I didn't shoot anywhere near as much in those days - too poor. I remember it fondly, but I sure don't miss it :)

You are talking about 1-eye view or 2-eye view?

Single eye, I believe. While angle of view of a human eye is wider, you don't get much details from your peripheral vision.
