Lens not focusing 3m and shorter

Hi guys,

I have a fed 5b with the standard industar 61 but the lens does not seem to be focusing beyond 2m and shorter (as seen in the viewfinder).

Does anyone know why?

did some toying around found out that it is the problem of the camera mount. Theres this metal thing protruding out at the top of the camera mount? Can anyone enlighten me on this?

A picture would be nice but is this metal thing moving as you turn the focusing barrel? That might be the rangefinder coupling.

yes i think its the coupling. is it supposed not to go back in place? when i remove the lens it seems to get stuck between and have to manually push it out

Then it might be out of alignment or some metal got in the way. Send it to one of the camera repair joints to have a look at it.
