Lens hood cap/cover for Summicron-M 2/35mm (e39 thread)

Does anyone know where I can get a lens hood cap/cover for the above? The lens hood is the square type (#12524).

Can the cover #14043 be used? From this list here http://www.imx.nl/photosite/leica/overview/listm.html, #14043 is meant for #12526.

Can some kind soul advise? Thanks.

The 14043 cap will fit your hood but it will be a tad loose. I think a better option is to get the 12526 hood (which comes with the cap) and use it on your pre-asph 35 cron as it will also fit on the lens.

#14043 would fit square hood #12524 just fine (holding one set right in front of me while typing.) It would be hard to find a stand-alone #14043 though. Maybe you could check with CP and see if they would help you order a replacement. Be prepared that it would not be cheap. ($50? ).

To me, the square cover is not really that useful. But that's just me.
