do you think it's worth saving several months for it and endure my 18-55 first?

Y not get 2nd hand and resell for a little loss after u r done? The loss=rental=your practice fee? This is on top of the fact thru the practice u may evolve to like certain genre of photography n be better to decide the type of lens u wan?

My advice is to save up if you don't need it urgent. Yes, we know the BBB virus urge. You'll appreciate the lens more if you really save up to get it.

Don't rush into getting lenses only to be dissappointed later that you have not done more homework on it.

I'm practicing around with the kit lens now and preparing to use it for my US trip in May... Won't get to go there often so wanna bring back some good quality photos

So I guess for me I'll save up...

Still best to bring two lens if you ask me I am flying to US also this weekend and in my small DSLR bag I will have Tamron 17-50 and my beercan.

unfortunately for me I managed to convince my dad to sponser part of my lens and being an old school photographer, he seems to respond well to the name "Tamron"... dunno why o.o

cheaper than the big-brand lenses :bsmilie: and if i'm not wrong, Sony has a share in Tamron LOL. but if i were you, i'd still buy CZ glass LOL
