Anyone know where to buy a 58mm lens cap with cord?? (to attach to camera)
Looked in CP and few shops in the area but cannot find.

Thanks for all help

hi,

You can get the cord with a stick on button at MSColor. you can stick the button at your cap and the other end knot to the strap.

don't know the price though, shouldn't be that expensive.

regards

I asked in a shop in far east plaze ... around 5 bucks. But I find its not really that helpful at all as the string might get in your way when you focus. :)

Don't bother. Because :
1. It's annoying to have a lens cap flapping around when you are trying to shoot, esp when wind is blowing and it flaps around alot.
2. The sticky part will fall off, and you will end up losing your lens cap.

When you pull your camera out of the bag with your right hand, just use your left hand to quickly remove the lens cap and stuff the lens cap into your pants left front pocket. Always put it in the same place, and after a while, it becomes 2nd nature to remove the cap from the lens and put it into your pocket. And if you always put it in the same pocket, you'll never lose it.

 Agree...

Just in case you still want to try out, it is selling at MSColor for $2.05 add your bus fare etc, should be under $5 total :D

Personally, I've never used it before.

guess i will get one without the cord

btw any good cap to recommend
the one i bought from CP is abit thick for the inner part(the one that grips on to your filter) so may not close properly or may touch the filter, but sercue

Any lens cap can be secure. All you do after putting it on is just twist it slightly to tighten it, just like you would tighten the cover on a jar. It will never drop off.

I buy the cheap ($4.00) black lens cap, and drill 2 1mm holes, make a small loop with a wire and thread the string through. Pretty DIY, and lots of work, but I enjoy modificatins like this! :)

But it's better to keep it every use, like Chriszzz said.

Any one have an idea where to get a 43mm lens cap?
This one is sort of odd side, so might not be easy to get.......
