Leicas in Germany.

Are leicas' cheaper in germany? old or new, no preference. ha. thanks!

and what should a new RF hobbyist be looking at?

nope. they are definiely not cheaper. during my 2 yrs stay, the leicas appreciated in pricing quite a bit. much cheaper in singapore, imo.

but sometimes, in some old cam shops, in the smaller towns esp, u might discover some hidden gems going at a great price. i got a m3 (fogged vf) and a elmar 5 (stains) at 300 euros in mainz. went back to my town and got them clean up for 100 euros and still got off cheaper overall.

if u are advertrous and feeling lucky, i have heard of friends picking up leicas in flea mkts or auctions for a steal.

I have a friend who is a student in Germany and he says that Leica gears are more expensive there than here.
