Anyone knows if there's 1.35V batteries available for the Leicaflex SL locally?

The camera's light meter was originally powered by a 1.35 volt PX400 mercury cell. Now that Mercury batteries are now banned in most countries "Zinc-Air" cells can now be used instead. Personally, I use a "Wein" Cell Part No. MRB400 1.35V Zinc/Air Battery for my Pentax Spotmatic II. This is replacement for the now obsolete RM400R and V400PX battery. The 1.35V Zinc/air cells are available locally in Singapore and are relatively inexpensive.
This is the preferred solution; otherwise if you want to use a 1.55V Part No. 387S Silver-Oxide cell you would need to modify the meter circuitry.

Thanks. I've tried the Energizer PX675 Zinc-Air 1.4V. But I think the meter is still inaccurate. My rough guess is that its still off by about 2 stop. Anyway I'll try a roll of slide to verify. Thanks.

The Energizer 1.4V Zinc Air is definitely still inaccurate...maybe the lightmeter itself is too old and needs adjustment of some sought. Anyway Sunny 16 gives a reasonable out come. With a few more rolls of slides should be able to get more than 50% useable shots ;p

I'm not looking for perfect exposure :-). Just need to be bright enough for me...so far so good. I'm happy with 20+ out of 36.

I think getting an external light meter would solve all your problems really.
