Hi guys,
Anyone have any ideas on whether Camera Hospital does cosmetic restorations for leica cameras (M6)

There are visible abrasion marks on the paint near the strap hook (caused by the strap) as well as faded paint on other parts of the camera (notably the base plate). The red paint on the lens mount catch has faded and the red paint on the "Leica Dot" has also faded. Also, the "LEICA M6" wordings on the front has dulled/greyed. Also, the yellow "B" mode on the shutter dial has faded.

Any places can restore my leica?

Thanks !

Hi,

I dont think any shop here does cosmetic restorations (too time consuming and too small market here). You can try here instead: http://www.rangefinderrestorations.com/Welcome.html

good luck!

Well, can check with Mr. Philip Tay of DE Camera. He might be able to help. He works alone and u need to be patient.

The old man does not do anything cosmetic. No need to waste time asking.

Can't you send it back to Leica? Probably expensive though....
