Hi, anybody been trying these two lens? Leica R 35mm f/2.8 and 35mm f/2?
What is your opinion in term of color tone and contrast.
I couldn't find any MTF chart for 35mm f/2.8, need opinion from you who has been using it.

thanks for your time

The 35/2.8 is less contrasty and the overall color that you can obtain with the same film is not as good. It depends on what you are after. Overall sharpness (which is about same) at a good bargain, or overall good color rendition and one full stop difference (at a much higher price).
The 35/2 summicron is just excellent, if you find a good and cheap piece. $1000 flat is a good price.

Cool, thanks a lot for your comments, i think better to save a little bit and buy the 35mm f/2.

i totally agree. i dont own a F2.8 but i have a 35mm summicron. The colour is amazing. You really should save more to get it. But at $1000? are you serious? I cant find any mint ones even at $1350. At $1000, i'll buy another one hahahah..
