What book are you looking for?

There are quite a few books on Leica but most have not been updated recently.

The Leica Lens Compendium is due for an update really soon, it is by Erwin Puts. You can download the first chapter from the author's site. Google for the URL.

There is a pretty decent Leica M Digital Photography by Brian Bower but it only covers the M8 and 8.2. Probably the most updated Leica book to date I have seen.

The Leica Collector's Guide by Dennis Laney is also pretty popular but once again it is in need of an update to cover the newer lenses and digital camera bodies.

There is also a 3 book set that is being sold at Riceball at Funan. They have quite a good selection and you will probably have more luck there than at Kinokuniya.

Enzokoh, if you are looking for information, there is alot more information out there on the internet if you Google. There are also alot of sample pictures on flickr for you to pixelpeep how each lens performs. Simply go flickr and search the name of the lens you are interested in. Some lens got their own dedicated groups on flickr.

Only if you want a glossy coffee table book to read casually should you buy such books. Even so, I prefer to save money for photography books with pictures, instead of technical details about lens. but that is just me.

Haha... Agreed. I use my collector's guide to press my negatives flat. It did come in handy sometimes though.. like when Sim was asking me whether early M3 got glass pressure plate. One read and I got the answer.

That is an expensive "tool" to press negative. :bsmilie:

Haha... Bro, that's called making good use of available resources. And YES, it does press well.
