Hi,

Who here has the 50APO, and where did you get it (Singapore/Overseas)?

If you'd like to post some images made with the 50APO in Singapore, that would be great.
There's a lot of issues with it right now, and I'm trying to get an idea of the local 50APO community, and the problems with it locally in Singapore.

Thanks!

would yo like to share what the issues are with the 50APO? thanks

There is no way I can buy this lens. Its back ordered. I am also trying to find out more on this lens. It's not cheap about US$6,500

Have you tried checking with parallel importers? Some may have ready stock.

There are other forums that have discussed the issues with this lens in great length. I'm curious to hear from Singaporeans directly. I'm also curious to see how many people have the lens.

I have checked and no way to get it. In the States its about a year waiting time for this back ordered.

I was approached by PI (parallel importer) if I were keen just 2 months ago.
I did not asked further questions as I had no intention of getting it.
To me, 35mm lux asph is my general lens while I will use my Noctilux mainly on portrait wide open at f0.95.

sillbeers15 - If you like the Noctilux for portraits, maybe you should get the 75APO, it's actually better for portraits in my opinion. AND it'll suit your 35lux-asph better.

it was a struggle for me between getting the 75 lux vs Noctilux.
Couple of reasons set me to pick up the Noctilux. One being 75mm is kind of close to the 90mm AA I have.
Perhaps I will still pick up a 75 lux someday when a German made late production mint condition 75 becomes available...hahaa!
Thanks for the suggestion marcphotosg!
