Just gotten my LCA back from Hospital. I dun have a manual but seems easy to operate. I am just abit confused with the 2 red bulbs inside the viewfinder. There's a right one and a left one. What does it mean when either one light up or when both light up?

when 1 light up, it means the battery is ok.

when both lights up, i think it means it requires a very slow shutter speed.

correct me if i'm wrong :P

Anyway, there used to be a LC-A manual online. i'll try to look it up for you.

More questions regarding the bulbs.

Yesterday, I tried. The left one lighted up when I am in my room. Today(just now), The right one lighted up instead.

Right one means what?
Left one means what?

hmm that i'm not sure. Mine usually it's either just the left one or both. Anyone?

The cells installed check them for serviceability. For this aim, move curtains control key 14 and open the objective and the viewfinder. Looking through the inspection window 21 (Fig. 5) of the viewfinder press down the release knob 10 (Fig.2) until it is stopped slightly.
If the cells are serviceable and inserted in a correct way, a red color indicator should shine at the upper left corner of the viewfinder. If the indicator does not shine check up whether the cells are inserted in a correct way and contact areas are clean. If the indicator does not yet shine replace all the cells.
Checking up energetic level of power cells during taking pictures is made according to the indicator (shines or does not shine) on pressing down the release knob.
With slight pressing of the release knob, you can see in the viewfinder a red-color indicator at the upper right corner simultaneously with the red-color indicator at the upper left corner. Its luminescence is a witness of an exposure times longer that 1/30 s.

right - power, left - low light - i guess. Same for mine.

thought when both light up, then its low light situation.:dunno:

the power one will light up when there's batt. so yes, the low light one will not light up alone, well, not dun suppose it should. Anyway, I came back and check my lca. looking thru the view finder, left is power, right is low light, my bad.

U can try this. press down slightly the release knob and point the lca towards ur monitor/light, right side should not light. now put ur finger on top of the light meter, right side should light up. do note, u'll need to press down slightly to see this, if u press down fully, the left will light up, but the low light one will not.
