bought mine from amazon for around us$135 inclusive on delivery to vpost address. spent around s$20 to fly it here. I have not tried other similar class vid cams before but zx3 is definitely cheaper than vado hd, uses SDHC card (expandable) and can go 3m under water (havent tried tat out yet, but youtube has got many such videos taken by zx3). You can shoot in wvga, 720p, 720p (60fps) and 1080p.
its really easy to use, i did not need to read the manual at all.
video quality is great especially for outdoors. have played back on my 40 inch tv with 720p (60fps) video.. very nice!
if you intend to buy from usa, dun bother to buy extra batteries (somehow batteries are prohibited by vpost, yet the original battery that came in the zx3 box is ok. lost a few usd there cos it was non refundable) and the screen protector (i bought from a seller on amazon but it never appeared. good thing amazon helped to recover my money).
