Has anyone tried sending negs and slides to the Kodak counter at the NUS Co-op? (I mean the one near Grinning Gecko, not sure if other Co-ops have labs). What's the quality like? :dunno:

i usually send to the one in the science co-op. seems okay to me though only sent slide film once. normal film takes a day to process but they took almost a week to process my slide film. and tell them if you're using hand-rolled films. my friend once sent his in, thinking they can tell the difference. they called him later saying his film is stuck in the machine so it got exposed when they opened it.
ps. they close for lunch from 1-2.30pm.

sigh.......so irritated that day:angry:

nah...trying the co-op is counter-intuitive

in clementi town area there is one lab which is ok.

Is it the Fuji lab near the bus interchange? Next to a mama shop or something? :D Has anyone sent slides/negs there for scanning before?

Does anyone else have experience sending negs/slides to the Kodak counter? Do they take non c41 b/w film and scan to CD for slides/negs? Any idea which 'mother shop' they send to for processing and printing? :p

I have sent c41 film there to process once. Its significantly more expensive than Ruby (cannot rem the exact price) and the quality is not too good either. Too grainy as compared to the ones from Ruby... I think their parent shop is in Ulu Pandan.

Have tried the Fuji shop at Clementi. The kiosk in the MRT station belongs to the shop. Was using them for a while... was giving me quite good prints (plus a 10% discount on a discount card). But they moved the Epic print machine to their parent shop in Lot 1... It takes about a week to send the negs there to dev. Stop using them since.

Where do you guys send your prints to dev? I'm using the Epic phot kiosk near my place but it cost about $15-17 per 36 roll... Very expensive, and bad service too!!! :(

:rbounce:

I usually go to Konota at PP, and have tried Colourlab at Adelphi twice. But now that there's SARS, I thought of using the Co-op booth since I work in NUS. Wanted to develop slide/neg there and then scan my own photos, to minimize travelling. Seems like not such a good idea after all. :(

Thinking of giving up on prints myself... Save the environment and of course my wallet too :p

Prob getting a film scanner and develop just the negs and contact sheet with prints, and scan to view instead... selecting the good ones to print...

any suggestion on a good flatbed scanner that can do good film scan too?

Just curious... which department are you in?
