I have recently bought several rolls of Kodak bw 400cn.
I need to seek your advice on which setting i should put on my Yashica E35.
max asa setting is 400.
Is that ok?
Also read somewhere that i can push it 800 and above for processing and it will be better.
Is that true?

yups set it at iso400, that's the recommended film speed.
if you rate it at 100, 200 should turn out ok too. 800 will be grainy but still have images.

Increasing the ISO of the film makes the image grainier.

Always remember to compensate if you Push or Pull the film from its normal ISO. If you wish to Push the film one stop in developing, underexpose it by 1 stop while taking the shot. Increasing the ISO of your film won't increase the quality. High ISO films were made for low-light shots, not for quality.
