Guessing a lot of us use manfrotto fluid heads. Such a simple compact add-on.
Approx S$35 including shipping.

The Tripod Stud is designed to take advantage of the threading found on the side of a current manfrotto fluid head.

The 4DSLR Tripod Stud* screws directly into your tripod and enables you to quickly mount accessories directly to it, for video or photography. Once you experience using this you will ask why tripod companies don't automatically make a tripod this way. You will not want to shoot with out it.

Anyone knows if a manfrotto handle will fit a weifeng head or vice-versa?

It looks very similar. If the thread is the same (1/4"-20), should work.

Interesting. Can both ends of the microSpud be used at the same time?

Some of the fluid heads out there already come with these threaded holes built in. While the Manfrotto 501 does not have these threads, 502, 504 and 509 certainly have them.

Didn't know that, thanks!

Thanks for the info! It's a cheaper alternative then :) Couldn't really tell from all the product photos, as they don't show the 'bottom' end of the spud, looks as if it's just a flat/solid surface.
