#4 is at ISO800. Impressive. Was any software used in PP? If that's straight out of the camera, it's indeed completely usable! Wow.....
looks fun! Thanks for sharing!
time to upgrade to nex-5n? it will be noiseless at iso800.not really, I didnt do anything to reduce the noise. I did sharpen it a *little bit* but that's abt it..... however, if u view it at 100%, there are still some details lost at iso800 as compared to when its iso200.... but if mai hiam, si bei pai la...
Actually, its fun, especially since its lighter, and also because the nex-5 has the manual focus assist, whereby u can zoom in 14x to look at the subject such as the bird's eyeball, and then slowly manual focus till the eye is sharp before shooting...and the results are sharp as seen in the pics above...
However, i realised that when shooting birds such as the sunbirds, they are very fidgety, and hop and fly and jump around all the twigs, its a real nightmare to shoot with AF lens, and its a catastrophe to wanna shoot using MF! I got a lot of blur shorts for the sunbirds, and the one posted here is the most acceptable one already.... at certain points, i was there thinking, if only my camerea has AF!!
But still I got a lot of curious stares from ppl, who no doubt must be thinking, where's the camera??? hahahaha... their facial expression is priceless and makes MF shooting using nex-5 really worthwhile! hahaha.... anyway, this is afterall just for fun isn't it?
