as anyone would guess... reportage and sports section will be bombarded by F1 threads of everyone trying to show their stuff...

personally i think the whole thing is pretty overated... and i want to sift through these threads and look at something else for a change.

soo i was just thinking if mods could make like one dedicated F1 photos thread? seeing as each new thread created only really has like 3-5 photos.. and with the sheer amount around not everyone's get commented on so might as well stick them in one huge thread where everyone can just flick through...

but the mods attending to the photo sub-forums will then have to deal with peeved cameramen who will complain how come their masterpieces are buried together with lesser pieces from lesser cameramen compared to themselves.

Based on timing, we tend to have waves of photos with the same theme, from the top of my head...

1) NDP
2) SIN
3) F1

I think the idea of a common thread is good; but as mentioned, not sure if can be executed.

"have to" doesn't mean they will. To me, the mentality is that it's the event, not the quality of pics, that count, looking at the trend of the posts. Agree with nightwolf75 that most likely people will want their own threads. Maybe someone can have the initiative to start a thread with something like "F1 Photos, all post here!" ?

If there is known events that will likely spawn a lot of threads, it would be easier to list out this events, like the below, and create ONE section dedicated to these events.. A common section might work better than a common thread.. And there are passionate shooters who will want comments so a common thread can't really work.

The Section could be "Reportage/Special Events" or something like that.. This way, the RAS & RLA section will not have too many threads of similar events/nature.. And pple who are more focused will find everything they wanted under one roof..
