Hi all (mods/admins included),

I been in this forum since 2001 or 2002 (ok dun look at my registered date cos this is my second account). But I admit I mia-ed for a few years and resurfaced again ard 2008-2009. I noticed there isn't a mass gathering for members here like a chalet outing? Maybe there was during the time I mia-ed.

Cos I think it will be fun to have such a mass gathering that we can even organise our own photomarathon. And perhaps we can also invite members from other online photo community from other nearby countries to join us.

Activities that we can do for this 2D1N or even 3D2N event:
- Get to know each other session
- Tip sharing session
- Photomarathon
- Bonding session via BBQ
etc

Probably can even find some sponsors to sponsor this event partially or fully.

Not sure if it's feasible but I think there should be members here in this forum who is keen in this activity.

and ohh! Clubsnap coming to 10 years old? So perhaps this can be a 10th anniversary big bang bash celebration haha.

Anyway just a suggestion.

the part about chalet, i think not feasible for strangers online meet and sleep overnite together, unless already know each other & form into groups. or simple BBQ (but if ppl fly pigeons, the organiser waste money on food)

Maybe if we have a certain volume of ppl keen, i can approach my frenz@heritage board. he deal with marketing and outreach program.
we can tied in to have photo trail along heritage site & route. this will let us help document the vanishing landmarks in Singapore.

But it all still have to depend on Clubsnap Admin/Mod to be agreeable that we use "clubsnap"'s name for more formalised events.

hmm we can have two rooms (male and female members), but of cos staying overnight is not compulsory but optional for those who are comfortable with it. since most of the members here have interacted with each other online in this forum and even meetup during photography outings, so I think there is a certain level of comfort btw them already.

and also, we can also invite speakers to conduct small workshop during this mass gathering (depending if there is enough time).
