So pls do let me know if u guys know of any ok ? Thanks . :D

which part of Japan? Tokyo? Try Hotel Kent and Hotel Vintage, can get a place at 130 to 140 for a twin sharing. But book early..

If u are looking for night life and dont plan to sleep much at night. Stay at Shibuya and Shinjuku. Not at Tokyo station. If you see map. Shinjuku and Shibuya is on left side of map. Tokyo station is on right side of map. And tokyo station area is dead town after 8pm.... u will die of boredom there. and if u go hang out at Shibuya and Shinjuku and want to go back to hotel at Tokyo station... waste of your money taking cab.

Other areas with night life are Ikebukoro and Ueno (Ameyoko)

Most of the cheaper hotels are near Ueno (the Marucho I gave you), but there are some near Ikebukuro too, just try the links I gave above, or do a search at Google with 'cheap hotels tokyo'

Check out this site
www.toyoko-inn.com

It's a chain hotel that offers really reasonable rates. I stayed in the hotel's single room in Himeji for 3 nights, and it was very pleasant. Room was small but, true to Japanese standards, was SUPER clean.

Yeah, I recommend the Toyoko Inns too. Super clean, breakfast included and rooms are actually bigger than some of the usual hotels.

They have an offer at the moment for internet bookings, if you become a member (a 50% discount at JPY 1,500), which is to stay 10 nights and get the 11th night free (single room rate if twin sharing) & Sundays and public holidays at a 30% discount. I stayed at the Asakusa Komagata. Quite convenient.
