Bro finally the long wait :bsmilie:
Nice take of the Kansai airport. The thing I remembered about the airport was the horrible heat wave of summer!

Ill move straight to shots taken at universal studios, since after my touchdown its already nightfall.

We pretty much checked into the hotel and just slept.

Loads of fun at universal the following day though :)

We were not too into the idea of playing a waiting game for the theme rides.
Good chance to have a look wat they got there that we missed now !

Keep ur shots coming bro

Ryan

Oh by the way in case anyone was wondering, all universal studio shots were taken with 50mm F1.4 lens cuz i wanted to travel light. Dont wanna lug gear around the rides. Haha.

You'll see many of these movie and cartoon characters around universal.

Princess fiona looked exactly like the animated one in Shrek.

And i like the way you present your photos.
Thick white frames, cast shadow... and the text.

It rained while i was at universal.. so me and my sister quickly ran to take shelter in the indoor rides.

Here's snoopy land..

Oh-so-colorful:

So how long did you have to wait for the rides ? :bsmilie:
I heard you can buy reservation tickets from JR stations

sorry to steal thread :)

just to add my experience in Universal Studio, i went last year 10am go in almost 5pm come out and still i miss some rides. The waiting time is horrible (mind u i went on a weekday and also not school holiday), some popular rides u can stuck in Q there like 1+ hour so actually i spent 10am-5pm almost standing 80% of the time in Q and stupid thing is it closes at 5pm and ticket cost so much. But got to say the rides are nice and fun but the Q is a mood spoiler.

They have tickets that can cut Q but cost more if i'm not wrong. IMO 1 day not sufficient to enjoy the whole park, u need at least 2 days.

like yourself we went during a weekday arriving at about 10am. it wasn't a public holiday or school holiday and the place was packed.

we did the reverse by going to the last ride on the map first but we weren't the only ones who did that and were on the first boat to see the shark in action.

after lunch we headed for the first ride on the map and worked our way to the centre of the park as the main show will be in that vicinity.

we managed to get into the rides we wanted but skipped two smaller ones as the show was about to begin.

after the show, we squeezed in one of the rides we missed and forgot about the last one in our haste to get some souvenirs. :bsmilie:

show? are you referring to the Peter Pan show? I saw the setup last year Jan but think its not ready yet. Wah u still got time for lunch, I hardly have time to stop for food, straight out of one ride straight rush to the next attraction. I like the Spider man rides but the Jaws ride was under maintenance that time :(

The operating hour of Universal Studio japan was so short, i dunno why Disney Japan can open till late in the evening and Universal Studio can't.

sorry to ts for the ot a bit.

ours was santa's toy story as we were there in early december. we had to schedule in lunch as we had two kids with us. so a quick one and off we went. the kids were very cooperative when they have incentive to behave and eat fast. :bsmilie:

Each ride takes about 30mins minimum to about 90mins. As the other guys have mentioned, its quite hard to take ALL the rides and catch all the shows in one day though.

Some of the rides were really awesome though (like the spiderman ride - it makes use of environmental special effects e.g. heat + wind, and 4D graphics with the 4D glasses + a roller coaster ride all rolled into one)

They really ought to close later! Its tooo early. They close around 7 i think.

In the heat of the June Summer, Universal studios brought a little something special to cool off the crowd. Called the "Water Festival", colorful floats carrying your favourite characters parade past the main square.

The parade entertainers sashay and dance down the road, splashing water at audiences as they go past.

The barrels contain water - where they use to refill their supersoakers! haha
