What is a good ISO setting for underwater photography for a compact?

I have a F31 Fuji.:)

ISO should be as low as possible (less noise)
use strobe to bring out the colours.

Use my f40fd, select to underwater mode, photo appear noisy. Think the ISO when to auto, and shoot up to 1600. Those photo taken higher(ard 10metre) was ok but low down (ard 38meters) don't seen good. May I know can my f40fd use strobe light. Thks in advance.:)

yup, you can use external strobes that are triggered via fibre optic cord.

check out the Inon D2000s, D2000, Z240 and the S&S YS27, YS90, YS110

I'm sure there are other brands and models, but these are just off the top of my head.
