And i am not talking about M9 price level. Too expensive!

The decent and affordable one that i have seen is Epson RD1xg, but is a 6MB Japan only model.

Is Contax, Bessa, Konica, Nikon or any traditional RF brands not coming out with their digital version?

Kind of sad.

;)Bro I dont think so cos M9 sensor quite unique without advance research no likely company to have. Best bet is used M8.
M9 price should come to 9k when the crazy ends....
Personally sticking to film now. I started with digital. Film is not that scary...:D

You can try a 2nd hand RD1S, saw one go off for 1.3k here lately in the buy & sell section.

I am going to get a Epson RD1s to try, since i have one being offerred.
However, does anyone know how to check the actuation of the camera?

As for repair and servicing, does anyone know where to go? Doubt Epson in Singapore does it, right??

I am going to match it with good sharp lens with nice bokeh.
Have done enough research and have short-listed Norton 50mm f1.1 and 35mm f1.2.

Guys, this is where u can help.
Which is better?
I do lots of street, indoor, infomal portraits, candids.
If there is other recommendation, please let me know.
Budget is tight, so cant afford expensive Leica lens right now.

Thanks

But

Have both. Feels good. but remember RD1 is a crop so 50 becomes a 75? quite tight.
so best bet is 35 1.2

Between the 2, I second the 35mm as well for its equivalent 50mm FOV. It's smaller (but heavier), cheaper and f/1.2 is just as useful as a f/1.1 in low light conditions especially if you factor in the usual 1 stop advantage of the 35mm FL cf 50mm. In fact, many have also preferred the draw and rendering of this lens compared to the 50mm which is very clinical. The 50mm also suffers from CA in backlit conditions.

Nevertheless, the 50mm is a great lens as well and I can see that it'll fit in very well in streets (depending on how you shoot), portraits and candids.

Just my 2 cents

:)
