Hi to all video buddies,

Just like to find out if there is a budget stabilizer that cost below $500 and it works with camcorder and the Canon 60D + EFS 17-55 F2.8? I am not looking at DIYs as I am not good with hand-works. I just want to use it for family video so those pro level grade like the Steadicam will be totally out of my range.

Any chance to find one with my limited budget? Please advice, thanks!

Glidecam is probably the cheapest reliable brand you will find. Glidecam 2000 Pro (handles up to about 3kg) sells for about 550 at expandore. 1000 Pro (handles 1plus kg) should be slightly cheaper.

Manfrotto's Modosteady selling in Cathay should be cheaper than $550. But the best stabiliser for family video is simply the bent-knee walk.

Bent-knee walk?:bsmilie:

I saw the Modosteady but it seem like it is only able to support the weight of camcorder and light-weight DSLR. 60D with EFS 17-55 F2.8 looks like a challenge.
