I apologize for creating a new thread under a new nick. But I really want to say something.

I am not sure if anyone will read this other than chngpe01, but here goes.

I do try to be responsible in my postings online all the time as I post my wife's photos, my baby's photos, my HP number so this is hardly an anonymous account.

SO I want to rebute some of Chngpe01's points. So here goes.

Next you started another thread. Though in the CS Term of Use I am not obliged to explain the action for closing the thread. However I have taken the time to explained very clearly there
http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showp...78&postcount=5

unfortunately, u close the thread b4 I can respond. I think it is only fair to let the other party rebute the points before closing of the thread. So let me do it here.

1. Your thread title was "Is Obama barking up the wrong tree?" Not something like "Is the economic policy set by Obama correct?"

- In the first question, the main focus or the point for discussion that is put forward is interpreted as what? - Is Obama (as a politician) barking up the wrong tree? whereas if it is the latter is worded then the main focus or point for discussion would be interpreted as and would be focusing on " Is the the economic policy laid by Obama (as a policy maker) correct?"

"Is Obama barking up the wrong tree?" what does this sentence mean? It just mean, if u ACTUALLY read my post, "Is the 500k compensation limit going after the wrong guys?" What does it got to do with politics? It isn't even about the US elections.... U have to read everything in context. I hate it when people just lift something out of context.

2. In fact 2 members (which is all the thread participants excluing the TS) ie samranjit and Rashkae rightfully interpreted it as a discussion on the politician Obama ie political discussion.

?? Just because someone say the sky is green doesn't make it so. U as a moderator has to read the post for YOURSELF and decide if it is political. That is why U are the moderator, NOT Rashkae or Samranjit.

3. To further illustrate what transpired in the thread, in post #2 samranjit replied "Please don't insult obama, he is the chosen one" not something like "don't insult his policy" or " yes the policy is ridiculous .... etc etc" Hence the interpretation is a discussion on Obama "the politician" - political in nature.

Yes, Samranjit's post is a bit out of line but u should delete his post or warn him. It has nothing to do with the thread I started.

4. Next Rashkae explicitly mentioned "Why are we discussing politics here?" In which smaranjit replied "Why not?" -

5. Looking at the way it is deemed political because of the way it is put across, I step in and also issued a reminder quoting samranjit (which he obviously do not know or missed reading the CS Term of Use). At the same time, taking the opportunity to remind all members, the CS Term of Use and closed the thread. Nothing personal or abusive or abuse of authority, period. I would have done the same to any other thread I come across as political be it by you (the TS) or by simranjit or by night86mare or by any members.

seriously, just because of the word Obama, does it make my thread political? I have posted almost 99% identical thread in
http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472692

I just removed the references to Obama and the thread seems ok. People comes in and have a calm discussion about economics. But YET the Simranjits guys STILL comes in and says the thread is political. Does it mean u will close the thread?

As a moderator I do believe u have to look at WHICH posts are political and act accordingly. If the TS starting post is political, u should close it. But if some joker comes in and make it political, u should go after the joker not the TS and close his thread. THIS IS MY MAIN GRIPE.

6. I do not take kindly to remarks against moderators or me especially those of unjust accusation of abusing powers. Such apology like this http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=93 would not come from me readily if I am the type who abuse powers and bull doze my way thru.

I do not understand what relevance the above point has unless u think this is personal. All I am asking is we look at the current incident at hand.

I am asking, where in my posts are there political stuff? I have read my posts quite a number of times and I really do feel that the main point of my post is about Obama's economic policy.

This forum is entitled FEEDBACK. if one close a thread without even giving the other party a chance to reply, what is the point of even bothering to explain your actions?

Is CS such a authoritarian forum that the "moderators are ALWAYS right?" Obviously, u are not concerned about whether the other guy has a point or not.

you know, it's not a war

I know but I think u can understand, right? Like u said, sometimes in CS, it is not about the facts and reasons.

It is no longer a place where things can be discussed in a civil manner, where both parties can actually voice out their points.

it never was.

the thing is, like it or not, it is not really any of the mod team's fault, most of them are not the root of the trouble. so you are throwing your tantrum at the wrong people.

there is no need to take it so personally. it's just a forum.. if you cannot discuss what you want, then find another place and time to do it, and talk about what you like to talk about here, except that. :)

just chill, dude.. life's not all about having the last word. :)

i would like to have an open environment where we can all talk about anything and everything under the world maturely; but in general and from past experience it will never come to anything positive. in an "open" forum, logic doesn't often prevail - less so when people think that they can post anonymously and get away with anything and everything.

cheers, and relax. that said, i do hope that the mods do not ban you again because frankly speaking, perhaps you have had a bad day, or accumulated unhappiness.. and when it comes to troublemaking, there are far more deserving members.
