Seems like all the adverts now boasting their HD cams. Of cos image quality is a big WOW factor. But will the better image quality be obvious when I view the video on my computer monitor? Or will the effect be noticeable only when viewed with a HD TV?

Sorry for the basic question cos I'm a newbie in videos. :embrass:

it really depends on your screen of your tv and your computer monitor, and how well your pc can process the image, but of cos in 10yrs time are you going to watch a SD video as its like watching vcd where everyone is watching dvd now.

i am aiming for a HD Camcorder since HD is slowly increasing in market. give HD 10-20 years time and it will be like what digital was in the market. Anyway unless you had a good graphics card that support HD no diff you can see on your pc but alot diff if you had a HDTV.

HD have been around since the late 80's. It was just too expensive to own anything at USD250K for a 32" LCD monitor. Worst no content to display. :bsmilie:

Anyway, HD is still some time away for the common laymen to grasp with. Also you will need HD supported NLE and Bluray / HD DVD disc burner which are not cheap.:embrass:

Just another note, current DVD technology is not good enough for HD contents (record & playback). :nono:
