Hi

I have read somewhere in Youtube comments, someone commented adjust shutter speed after advanced the film. This way will not hurt the shutter mechanism. Is it true?

Yes for the Russian rangefinders. Not too sure about others

Only russian RF, the Feds, the Zorki etc.

I've adjusted the shutter speed dial on my Leica, Konica, Voigtlander Bessa. They still work like they are out of the box condition.

This will only affect cameras that are derived from the Leica Barnack design, which is not limited to the Russians, but also the Leica screw mounts and several other copies (canon, tower, nicca etc.)

I don't know about this but doesn't sound quite logical to me... if you're taking numerous shots of the same scene, and in fairly similar lighting condition, i'd assume you'd just **** and fire off without adjusting the shutter speed everytime you advance the frame right?

**** that's "co©k"

I agree with you on dose'nt require to adjust shutter speed if shooting the same scene or similiar lightings. But generally as and WHEN REQUIRED to change shutter speed, i think its good that no harm for me to keep it a habit to advance the film before adjusting the shutter speed.
