I am looking to buy a Zeiss Ikon but have no idea whether is it available in SG or not. If not I will have to order from ADORAMA.com

Orient Photo at SLS has them last time I asked, about 3 weeks ago. Got quoted $2400 iirc.

Grey Set? If i order from adorama is roughly around 2k inclusive of shipping

I got one from Fotographix marketing. All Zeiss products are imported by Shriro.

Get one with warranty. Adorama will sell a product with warranty in the US, Shriro will not respect it here.

Call Mr Wong @ 9783 1271, he can tell you if he has any stock. He told me that he only gets a couple of cameras after several months of waiting.

Think I did see a few ikon boxes the last time I was there. But best to call before u go down in case of wasted trip cos mr Wong is not jn the shop sometimes.

For the price listed i will probably buy an air ticket to japan and buy there, think will have spare change to buy some hard to get film.:)

if you don't mind 2nd hand, try hunting at Peninsula Plaza/Shopping Centre..

as mentioned already, I've also seen a couple of sets at Ben Photo recently..

There's a bigger selection in eBay, it will work out cheaper even after you include shipping.

I would not hesitate to get one pre-owned, rather save the money for a CLA when that one day arrives!

But of course, if this is going to be your very first film RF, and you have all the worries about camera breaking down, inaccurate shutter speed, mis-aligned viewfinder, rf coupling loose tension etc, then by all means get a brand new one just so that it makes you feel happy :)

I do not dare use ZI because the VF is so nice and bright, i might never be able to accept my M3 M4 and M9 again haha
