Keeping it in a dry box will definitely be better. Anyhow, since you have already spent so much money on it, why save that few dollars compared to the price of a digicam?

Z zekai Senior Member Jan 25, 2004 #4 put in a air tight tupperware and a pack of silica gel. the silica gel cost $4+ from any photo shop.
