Is Canon 5D Mark III going to be released soon?

sad to tell you, i am damn happy with my 5Dii but i am looking for a second hand 40D as backup.

donrt bother with the 40D, the screen is screw up. Get a 60D at least...for backup.

nvm, i am happy with it. quite like the shutter sound though as compared to my 5DMKII haha

The 5D mkII 's sounds like theres a ball in it. Brrr. If only Canon could continue with the Legacy of the 40D. Omg i love the IQ of it

yeah, 40D very suitable for street shots without alarming your subjects after you fire the shutter haha.

been comparing 5D Mark II with 7D...despite people saying how close is the IQ, for my naked eyes, the pictures from 5D mark II just look higher contrast, better tonal/dynamic range and somehow film alike with emotion and life. is it only me? the 7D is no near bad but comparing to 5D, the pictures look a bit digitized while 5D is more analogue. LOL

ya i do agree with you... with FF, there is a huge difference compared to cropped... as good as 7D might be, that feel of having a 5D and the IQ is definitely better...

That's a nice thing to hear, since I am considering should I spend the money on a FF if I have enough money. From 7D to 5D II there's already significant difference in IQ, I wonder how would I feel if I jump from 500D to 5D III? :bsmilie:

Having both 7D & 5DMII, I would say in the matter of IQ the FF have 1.5 stop advantage compared to the crop.
